I love cooking games so much that I’m willing to spend $$$ just to enjoy a good game. I’ve always had a heart for cooking in real life, and being able to play games where I can prep, cook, and serve is a different level of satisfaction. I believe many people relate to what I feel because cooking games are relaxing. It can ease stress and clear minds during a tough day. After all, if you’re already an adult, you know how stressful and tiring life could be.

Okay, let’s get into what you came here for — my favorite cooking games on Steam that I personally think everyone should play. No bias, no promotions, just a pure heartfelt review. Some of these games require a fast wireless service, kindly keep that in mind. Let’s start!

Overcooked 2

The first ever game I played on Steam was Overcooked 2. I played it with my friends, and I swear, we were just laughing the whole time. It’s a cutthroat cooking game that requires speed, teamwork, and communication. A maximum of 4 players can play in a game, and you all have to work together to send out orders while trying to navigate the challenges of every map. Personally for me, it’s a fun game with friends, but I tend to get bored when I play it by myself.

Papa’s Pizzeria Deluxe

Papa’s games (mobile version) became popular during the pandemic, and I was one of the people who have been recommending this to anyone looking for a chill game. You will basically be working as a pizzeria staff — taking orders, cooking pizzas, and serving them. Of course, time is still very important. If you have ever watched a TV show on DISH TV, for example, where one person runs an entire restaurant, that’s exactly it. You can purchase (using game money) to make cooking easier, which is great as you progress. It’s an easy game.

Cook, Serve, Delicious!

I wouldn’t say Cook, Serve, Delicious! is the best cooking game ever because for me, you don’t get to experience the “cooking” aspect of it. In most cases, you just throw ingredients in a pot, and that’s it. However, what made this fun was the challenge with time. You’re constantly racing against the clock, trying to fulfill orders before customers lose their patience. The pressure builds as the day progresses, especially when rush hours hit. It’s a fun game if you like a fast-paced cooking game.

Kebab Chefs!

I just recently started playing this game, but let me tell you, if you want to experience restaurant ownership at its best, play Kebab Chefs! Here, you’ll inherit a restaurant from your father. What I like about this is how realistic the game is. If you’ve ever watched a movie on streaming services or cinemas about some who’s opening a restaurant from scratch, it’s literally it — but with an added challenge, of course.

In the first part of the game, you need to clean the restaurant, strip the walls, and stuff like that. Then, you’ll need to buy the cooking supplies. Once you’re all set, you’ll start getting customers. You will be in charge of everything — cooking, serving, washing the dishes, grocery shopping, and more. It’s a very hands-on game, which I love so much.

The Bottom Line

If you’re looking for a new cooking game to try on Netflix, I swear by these games. They are so fun to play, and they allow you to actually live the life of a chef, a restaurant owner, and a manager all at once. I mean, that’s THE life, right? Hope you give them a try, and let me know what you think. Happy playing!
